UM Women’s Glee Club in Concert with members of the Cornell University Chorus

On Saturday, March 14 at 8:00 p.m. in Stamps Auditorium, the Women’s Glee Club, Julie Skadsem, conductor, will join forces with the Cornell University Women’s Chorus, now touring the Midwest, in a dual concert. The U-M Women’s Glee Club, founded in 1893, will perform Brahm’s Four Songs for Women and works by Hassler, Hill, and Lange.

The Cornell University Chorus, founded in 1921, is conducted by Scott Tucker. The chorus comprises over sixty voices and performs a repertoire that includes masses, motets, spirituals, folk arrangements, a range of classical and contemporary pieces, and new commissions by women composers.
