Turning Basic Conducting into Expressive Conducting

TIME:

              Monday - Thursday: 2:00 - 7:30 pm

              Friday: 10:30 - 4:00pm

BRIEF DESCRIPTION:

This workshop will review basic conducting patterns and address ways to make gesture more expressive and communicative.  Strategies for using movement in the choral rehearsal will also be addressed, with transfer of these motions into conducting gesture.  Workshop content will be appropriate for all levels of conductors from general or choral settings.

 

ADMISSIONS:

Workshops may be taken for graduate credit (NCFD), Continuing Education Units (CEU),  or for personal enrichment without college credit. 

GRADUATE CREDIT:
